Cricket is unusually well suited to a quiz, because it keeps better records than almost any other sport and its fans argue about them constantly. A batting average, a World Cup final, the year a particular record fell — these are facts with exact answers, which is what separates a quiz that can be settled from an argument that cannot.
The rounds here split roughly three ways. The easy sets cover the things a casual viewer picks up by watching: who won which final, which country a famous player represents, what the basic laws are. The harder sets move into the territory that rewards actually following the sport — specific innings, record holders, the details of a tournament that only stuck if you watched it. The "Only 1%" round is deliberately unfair, and exists to be failed.
There is also a split by format. Test cricket, one-day internationals and the T20 leagues attract quite different audiences, and somebody who follows the IPL or the PSL closely may know very little about a Test series in the 1990s, and vice versa. Rather than blend them into one round where half the questions land for any given person, the league and tournament quizzes are kept separate.
Every quiz draws a random selection from a larger bank each time you play, so a second attempt is a genuinely different set of questions rather than a memory test of the first.
Questions
Which cricket quiz should I start with?
If you watch cricket casually, start with an easy round — those cover finals, famous players and the basic laws. If you follow a particular league closely, the IPL or PSL quizzes will suit you better than a general one.
Are the questions updated for recent tournaments?
The World Cup and league quizzes cover completed tournaments, including the most recent editions. Records that have since been broken are written against the tournament they belong to rather than as open-ended "who holds the record" questions.
Do I get the same questions if I play twice?
No. Each session draws a random selection from a larger question bank, so playing again gives you a different set. The banks range from twenty to nearly a hundred questions depending on the quiz.
Is there a quiz for Test cricket specifically?
The legends and general cricket rounds lean heavily on Test history, while the IPL, PSL and T20 quizzes cover the shorter formats. There is no Test-only round at present.
